North Dakota Real Estate Professionals are required to take 16 continuing education hours every 24 months including 6 hours of mandatory continuing education and 10 hours of elective continuing education. This course fulfills 2 hours of mandatory continuing education.
This is a practical course for contract law that covers all facets of contract law. It first covers oral and written contracts, the Uniform Commercial Code and the Statute of Frauds. The making of a contract is detailed from offer to acceptance. Ten different kinds of contracts are explained. The five essentials of a valid contract are described. How contracts may be terminated is explored along with remedies in the event of breach of contract. Finally, real estate contracts are examined in detail along with sample formats and specific contingency clauses that may be encountered.
